TPVC FALL 2019 TRAINING
TPVC's volleyball training begins the week of September 9th. Training will focus on fundamental skill development and progressions to help all athletes prepare for the upcoming 2020 club season. Training sessions are headed by TPVC coaches with over a combined 40 years of experience. TPVC training provides athletes with the best support for high school season, and preparation for club season. Spacing is limited in to keep the athlete-staff ratio low. Additional details below.
Training A: (Grades 9 & 10): Mondays: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. South Meridian Elementary. 9 sessions. $200. * WAITLIST*
Training B: (Grades 7 & 8): Thursdays: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. South Meridian Elementary. 10 sessions. $225.
Training C: (Grades 5 & 6): Wednesdays: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Morgan Elementary. 10 sessions. $225.

TRAINING DETAILS
Sessions commence the week of September 9th. Grades 9 & 10 will train nine sessions; Grades 5 through 8 will train ten sessions. TPVC makes every effort to account for gym closures such as those due to holidays (notably, Thanksgiving and Remembrance Day); however, please note that there may be the occasional closure by the school or district due to performances and other priorities, all of which are beyond our control. In order to account for these possibilities, the training schedule end period will be flexible to ensure all participants receive their hours of training. We anticipate training to conclude by the end of November.
If a session group is full, we will take a waiting list based on registration date/time. If there is high demand, we may open another group, but it may be on another day or time.
Payment secures training registration spots. It can be made via e-transfer to teamperformance@outlook.com . Alternate forms of payment may be set up, via the same email. If you have any inquiries, please message us.
TPVC will provide a family discount for an additional child in the household participating in training.
Some athletes may be able to move up or down training sessions according to skill level. Where an athlete demonstrates that her skill level is better matched with another age category, TPVC will assess and communicate with parents.
TPVC training is not a requisite to play or try out for TPVC club. Our training seeks to help athletes land a club position anywhere.
Private and semi-private individual and small-group training is also available, by appointment arrangements. Days are TBD based on availability (M., Wed., Thu.) from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Small-group (friends or teammates) private training will be limited to five athletes. Inquire during registration, or at: teamperformance@outlook.com
All athletes are required to have proper footwear. Water bottles and warm gear (sweatpants, etc.) highly recommended.

- Basic skills in volleying, passing, serving and hitting.
- Proper technique and body movement.
- Transition from lightweight volleyball to standard weight volleyball.
- Introduction to triple-ball; transition to full volleyball.
- Focus on skill execution, correction, and refinement through repetition.
- A supportive, patient, and nurturing environment.
- Time for gameplay.
Training for older/advanced athletes will include:
- Ball control.
- Proper skill technique and execution.
- Balancing power and control.
- Court positioning.
- Ample opportunities for significant touches.
- Drills that focus on skill execution, correction, and refinement through repetition.
